Cub Scout Pack 631  -  Hike #3  -  November 16, 2003
Lower Bear Creek (Indian Head)

When:  Sunday, November 16, 2003 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Where:  Meet at Larkspur Elementary School parking lot at 1:30 pm.  We will leave the lot at 1:45 pm sharp to drive to the hike trailhead located at the end of Cheyenne Drive.  We will begin the hike at the trail head at exactly 2:00pm.

The Trail:  This is a moderately steep, but short, climb.  The round trip (up and down) is 2.3 miles with an elevation gain of 948 feet. 

Directions:  Located at the end of Cheyenne Road in Perry Park and is rated a moderate hike for children.

Miscellaneous:  An adult member of the family, or specified guardian, must accompany the Scout on the hike.  We will raffle off several hike-related door prizes to Scouts during the hike.  Each Scout must turn in a completed and signed permission slip (below) to the Hikemaster on the day of the hike, before we leave the trailhead.  Be prepared for changing weather conditions and dress appropriately.  Bring your own water, trail snacks, sunscreen, hat, camera, fun attitude, etc...

Bad Weather Decision:  We try to hike regardless of the weather - rain, snow, wind or shine! 

Only if we feel we would endanger the Scouts will we cancel the hike. 

If there is any question that the hike will go as scheduled, you may call Rob Malsch at 303-681-2653 by 12:00 noon on Sunday; otherwise, plan to meet at the school.
