Cub Scout Pack 631  -  Hike #5  -  March 2004
Fox Run Park

 

When:             Sunday, March 28, 2004  from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

 

Where:            Meet at Larkspur Elementary school parking lot at 1:00 pm.  We will leave the lot at 1:15 pm sharp to caravan to the hike.

The Trail:

The Walk is rated a "2+" not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs (jogging strollers OK).   Pets must be leashed. Carrying water is recommended.  Restrooms are located along the

trail. The route follows a multi-use gravel and dirt trail and provides nice views of

Monument valley, the Rampart Range, and Pikes Peak.

 

Directions:     To get to Fox Run Park, Head east on Baptist road. At the end of Baptist Road you turn right on Rollercoaster Road.  About ¼ mile south on Rollercoaster Road you will find the trailhead.

 

Miscellaneous:          An adult member of the family, or specified guardian, must accompany the Scout on the hike.  We will raffle off several hike-related door prizes to Scouts during the hike.  Each Scout must turn in a completed and signed permission slip (below) to the Hikemaster on the day of the hike, before we leave the trailhead.  Be prepared for changing weather conditions and dress appropriately.  Bring your own water, trail snacks, sunscreen, hat, camera, fun attitude, etc...

 

Bad Weather Decision:        We try to hike regardless of the weather - rain, snow, wind or shine!  Only if we feel we would endanger the Scouts will we cancel the hike.  If there is any question that the hike will go as scheduled, you may call Rob Malsch 303-681-2653 by 12:00 noon on Sunday; otherwise, plan to meet at the school.
